Are you a thoughtful and engaging RE Teacher with a knack for fostering spiritual and ethical understanding in students within a nurturing independent setting? We are partnering with a highly regarded Independent school in Barnet that is seeking a fantastic temporary, part-time RE Teacher to join their Humanities department, starting ASAP. This is a wonderful opportunity to guide students through diverse religious and philosophical perspectives across Key Stages 3 and 4, with exciting potential for Key Stage 5.

What you'll be doing:

  • You'll be crafting and delivering engaging RE lessons that explore various faiths, ethical dilemmas, and philosophical concepts.
  • It's about creating a stimulating and inclusive classroom where every student feels empowered to ask profound questions, respect diverse beliefs, and develop their own moral compass.
  • You'll inspire students to engage in respectful dialogue and critical thinking about the human experience.

What we're looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialism in Religious Education.
  • Experience teaching engaging and effective RE lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4 is highly desirable.
  • A deep and current understanding of religious and ethical studies, plus the ability to facilitate meaningful discussions.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong classroom management, and a knack for encouraging open-minded inquiry.
