Raw Materials Technologist

We''re currently working with a highly reputable client in the food manufacturing industry who is seeking an experienced Raw Materials Technologist to join their ever-growing technical team.

The Role

As a Raw Materials Technologist, you''ll report directly to the Technical Services Manager and play a vital role in ensuring all raw materials meet the highest standards for quality, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
-Ensure all raw materials are fully approved in line with internal and customer requirements.
-Manage supplier approval processes and maintain the supplier assurance system for both new and existing suppliers.
-Conduct raw material risk assessments in line with food safety standards.
-Oversee and investigate all supplier non-conformances, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
-Participate as a key member of the internal auditing team.
-Work closely with cross-functional departments to support technical and quality-related projects.

Requirements:
-Previous experience in a technical role within the food manufacturing industry is essential.
-Proven experience with raw materials management and supplier assurance is required.
-Strong knowledge and understanding of BRC standards.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - able to build effective relationships internally and externally.
-A proactive team player with strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Salary: -30,000 - -35,000
