Job Title: RandD Power TechnicianClient: Caterpillar/Perkins EnginesLocation: PeterboroughHourly Rate: £20.56 PAYE or £26.91 Umbrella Duration: 12 monthsWorking arrangements: Fully site based About The Role:My global, indsutry leading manufacturing client is seeking a diverse, inclusive, and multi-disciplinary individual that will be responsible for their advanced product research and development sector. This position as an APSD Technician you will be working on their electrification, Powertrain, Diesel and hybrid and power systems. Key Responsibilities: Supporting APSD engineers'' instructions providing feedback and updates with detailed comments on measurements and issues. Working with logistics in obtaining and ordering new parts and components working with Engineering Leads and customers to make sure that they are within our specifications. Conduct direct build/strip and measure activities of our electrification, Powertrain, Diesel and hybrid components, with some sub assembly and testing requirements. Conduct electrical safety checks to meet regulations and standards; Insulations resistance, ground bonding, Hi-Pot checks, communications using CANape and service tools. Key Skills: Completed Modern Apprenticeship / BTEC (Mechanical or Electrical discipline) Strong hands-on mechanical and/or electrical technician experience including: Diagnostics, Fault finding, Repair, Rebuild, Build and strip activities Health and Safety awareness with strong technical ..... full job details .....
