RandD Advanced Power Systems TechnicianPeterborough 26.92 per hour Inside IR-month contract 5 days onsiteWe''re looking for an experienced RandD / Test Technician to join an advanced power systems team based in Peterborough.This is a hands-on role working across a range of powertrain development projects, including E-motor testing, hybrid powertrain development, transmission programmes, new powertrain technologies and test bed activities.You''ll be working closely with engineers and other technicians, carrying out build, strip and rebuild work, testing components and systems, fault finding and diagnostics, as well as reviewing test results and feeding back to the wider engineering team.What you''ll be doingCarrying out build, strip, measurement and rebuild activities on powertrain and electrification componentsSupporting engine, transmission, hybrid and electric motor testingOperating test beds and associated software and diagnostic equipmentCarrying out electrical safety checks and working with electrical/electronic systemsDiagnosing faults and supporting repair and problem-solving activitiesRecording measurements, test results and technical issuesWorking from engineering instructions, drawings and test plansSupporting engineers with data analysis and technical investigationsRaising issues around build and test activities and helping drive improvementsWorking closely with internal teams to keep projects moving and deliver testing to required timescalesWhat we''re looking ..... full job details .....
