      <description>Location: Nottinghamshire | Salary: 10000-500000 Annual | Type: Permanent | Rail Wagon Technician Location: Toton, Nottinghamshire Salary: Competitive salary - negotiable depending on experience  Contract: Full-Time, Permanent  We are looking for an experienced Rail Wagon Technician to support the safe and efficient operation of freight wagons. This is a hands-on engineering role involving inspection, maintenance and repair work to ensure wagons remain reliable for ongoing service.  The Role:  Inspect freight wagons and accurately record findings on inspection sheets Carry out planned and reactive repairs including welding, roof panel work, curtain (bache) repairs and general mechanical tasks Perform brake tests and safety checks Calibrate wheelsets and report findings to the team supervisor Review components and spares required for upcoming repairs Liaise with on-site rail operations teams regarding wagon movements and repair scheduling Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised working area Communicate effectively with supervisors and local management regarding progress, issues and priorities Support operations at additional sites when required, including occasional overnight stays   Requirements:  Full UK Driving Licence Qualified and competent welder PT...</description>
