JOB- RandD TechnicianLOCATION- ReadingTERM- PermanentSALARY- £28,000 per annum (grad level)We''re seeking an RandD Technician to join our Research and Development team, focusing on the creation and testing of innovative conformal coatings. You''ll work closely with colleagues in the UK and USA, plus Quality, Production, Technical Support, and Sales teams, to develop new products and improve manufacturing processes.The RandD Technician will ideally have the following attributes: BSc or Msc in Chemistry, Material Science or PolymerExperience with coatings, adhesives, paints, or other advanced chemical products (preferred)Knowledge of lab test methods/instruments (Viscosity, Rheology, FTIR advantageous)Strong attention to detail and an organised, methodical approachAbility to work well in a project team environment The RandD Technician role will involve: Develop and test new coating formulationsAssess new raw materials for suitabilityOperate automated coating equipment for trials and testingSupport process scale-up and cost-reduction projectsAssist Technical Support with customer queriesContribute to QA processes and prepare technical reportsVisit customer sites for product trials If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV to find out more, along with your availability and your salary expectation. ..... full job details .....
