NEOS Engineering are working with a well-established engineering and maintenance contractor operating across quarry and heavy industrial sites in the South West. They are looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to oversee operations across a key portfolio of quarry-based projects in the Bristol area.

The Role
As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations across quarry and heavy industrial environments. You will oversee engineering teams, subcontractors and site activities to ensure safe, efficient and compliant delivery of works.

Key responsibilities include

• Managing daily site operations across quarry and industrial environments
• Supervising engineers, welders and subcontractors on site
• Ensuring all works are completed safely and in line with site procedures and legislation
• Planning and coordinating maintenance and project activities
• Liaising with clients, quarry operators and internal management teams
• Overseeing RAMS, permits to work and site compliance documentation
• Driving productivity, quality and operational efficiency across all works
• Supporting continuous improvement across site performance

The Candidate
We are looking for someone with

• Proven experience as a Site Manager, Site Supervisor or similar within quarrying, heavy plant or industrial environments
• Strong understanding of quarry operations and site safety requirements
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams including engineers and subcontractors
• Ability to manage multiple site activities and priorities effectively
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Commercial awareness and understanding of operational delivery

Experience within the quarrying sector or heavy industrial processing environments is highly desirable.

Essential Requirements

• SMSTS or SSSTS qualification (SMSTS preferred)
• IOSH or NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate
• CSCS card (black or gold preferred)
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and site compliance

Package

• £60,000 to £70,000 depending on experience
• Company vehicle or allowance
• Long-term permanent position with strong stability
