Quarry Operative

We are currently seeking Quarry Operative to join our team at Freemans Quarry, Bristol. This role will report directly to the Quarry Manager.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain high standards of housekeeping across the quarry site to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.Follow all health, safety, environmental and quality procedures, promoting a strong safety culture.Wear and use the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.Carry out pre-start checks and daily inspections on mobile plant and equipment.Complete inspection records accurately and report any defects or issues to site management promptly.Support planned and reactive maintenance activities, working closely with the maintenance team when required.Operate quarry mobile plant and equipment safely and effectively, in line with training and authorisation.Work collaboratively as part of the quarry team, supporting colleagues and undertaking other reasonable duties to help achieve site objectives.Contribute to the continuous improvement of site performance, safety and operational standards.Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseThe successful candidate must hold a current driving licence.A licence for heavy mobile plant is preferred but not essential. Training can be provided for the suitable candidate.You will be self-motivated and have the ability to work on your own or as part of a team and be available to work flexible working patterns.
