Quantity Surveyor - New Build Project based in Hackney - 40m residential scheme Office based in East London Salary up to 65,000 + Package Role We are currently working with a well-established main contractor in the appointment of a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a 40m residential scheme in Hackney. The project is a new-build social housing development delivering 72 social rent units within a 5-storey mid-rise apartment block, procured under a JCT Design and Build contract. The scheme forms part of the wider Nightingale Estate regeneration and is currently moving through the delivery phase. This is a great opportunity to join a stable contractor with a strong pipeline of residential work across London and to play a key role in delivering an important regeneration project. Role and Responsibilities Managing the commercial delivery of subcontractor packages Procurement and appointment of subcontractors Preparation and agreement of interim valuations Cost reporting, forecasting and budget management Managing variations and change control Subcontractor management and payments Supporting the agreement of final accounts Working closely with the site and project teams throughout delivery Requirements Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor Background delivering new-build residential projects Good understanding of JCT Design and Build contracts Strong commercial and communication skills Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or ..... full job details .....
