Quantity Surveyor - New Build Social Housing

Location: Birmingham / Midlands - Hybrid Working
Salary: Up to -55,000 DOE + Car Allowance + Benefits

Think Recruitment are working with a well-established main contractor who are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team.

The position sits within their new-build housing division, delivering social housing developments across the Midlands.

The role will be based out of the contractor''s Birmingham office, with a flexible working setup split between the office, project sites and a couple of days working from home.

With a strong pipeline of secured work across the region, this is a great opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor looking for long-term stability, flexibility and career progression.

As Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for new-build housing projects, working closely with the operational and wider commercial teams.

Responsibilities will include:

• Commercial management of new-build housing projects

• Procurement and management of subcontractor packages

• Preparing valuations, variations and cost reports

• Managing subcontractor payments and final accounts

• Monitoring project budgets and commercial performance

• Identifying and managing commercial risks

• Working closely with site and operational teams

• Developing strong relationships with clients and subcontractors

We''re looking for a Quantity Surveyor who ideally has:

• Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor

• A background in new-build housing, residential or social housing

• Main contractor or housing contractor experience

• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge

• Good communication and negotiation skills

• The ability to manage projects and your own workload effectively

• Salary up to -55,000 depending on experience

• Car allowance
