Quantity Surveyor
Plenty of QS roles are about measuring other people''s decisions. This one is about influencing them. A quantity surveying and project management consultancy in Greater Manchester is looking for an experienced QS who wants to advise clients on cost early enough for it to matter, on a varied mix of commercial, public sector and residential projects. You''ll see projects through from first budget to final account, with your input visible to clients and the wider team from the start. The work Prepare cost plans, estimates and budgets, and update them as designs develop Produce tender documentation and run tender processes, from enquiries to appraisal and recommendation Manage cost control through the project: valuations, variations, forecasts and final accounts Provide contract administration and, where needed, employer''s agent and project management support Advise clients on budgets, procurement routes, value and risk Attend client, design team and site meetings, and report clearly on cost and programme Build relationships with clients, consultants and contractors You Experienced QS from a consultancy background, or a contractor QS ready to move to the client side MRICS preferred, though not essential if the experience is there Confident across a range of project types and procurement routes Commercially sharp, clear in writing and good with clients Full driving licence The package Competitive salary ( 45,000 - 60,000) Hybrid working Career development, mentoring and APC ..... full job details .....
