Quantity Surveyor Location: Oxford initially, with projects across the Midlands and further South (working away Monday to Friday will be required) Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience + package Sector: Construction Main Contractor Design and Build We are working with an established 360 design-and-build main contractor that delivers projects from initial design and planning through to construction and completion. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, they are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team. The role will initially be based on a project in Oxford, with upcoming projects expected to be located across the Midlands and further South. Therefore, this position would suit someone who is comfortable with working away from home when required. The Role As Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of projects from procurement through to final account, working closely with the project management, design and site teams. Your responsibilities will include: Managing the commercial aspects of construction projects from pre-construction through to completion Preparing and managing project budgets, forecasts and cost reports Procurement and management of subcontract packages Reviewing and negotiating subcontractor quotations Managing valuations, variations, payments and final accounts Monitoring project costs and identifying potential commercial risks ..... full job details .....
