Quantity Surveyor - Social Housing

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor, who has experience working on social housing projects? Approach Personnel are proud to be partnered with a regional, growing Joinery and Build contractor, who are currently looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis out of their office in Nottingham. The business has a strong foundation in social housing helping and is looking for someone from a similar background/experience. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will oversee the vast majority of the companies projects whilst they grow ensuring commercial success on a continuous basis. What''s in it for you? Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on a social housing contract Desirably, a degree in Quantity Surveying A strong understanding of cost management and sub-contractor procurement. Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Packages. Key Responsibilities: Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors. Assess contract risk and work with the site team to develop and manage mitigation plans Review all contract documents to ensure the business is protected at all times. Manage all commercial aspects related to the contracts. Ensure that all group commercial policies are being adhered too and that all legislations are being met.
