Quantity Surveyor

About the RoleWe are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Quantity Surveyor to join my clients growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with around 2 to 5 years'' experience who is looking to further develop their commercial skills within a supportive engineering environment.Working closely with Project Managers, Design Engineers and our commercial team, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are commercially managed from inception through to completion. You will assist in maximising project profitability, managing commercial risk and maintaining strong relationships with clients and subcontractors. Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:Preparing, submitting and tracking applications for payment.Monitoring certificates, invoices and payment schedules.Raising Early Warning Notices (EWNs) and managing change requests and project variations.Assisting with the preparation of project estimates and cost forecasts.Producing and presenting monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs).Monitoring project costs, purchase orders and commercial performance.Reviewing project contracts and ensuring contractual obligations are understood and met.Assisting with the review of contract terms and conditions.Preparing subcontract documentation and supporting subcontract management.Understanding project programmes and monitoring commercial progress against delivery.Building and maintaining effective relationships with ..... full job details .....
