      <description>Location: Hertfordshire | Salary: &amp;pound;50000 - &amp;pound;55000/annum | Type: Permanent | About you   If you are an experienced Quantity Surveyor who likes having ownership of your projects and managing the commercial side properly from procurement through to final account, this could be a good opportunity for you.  You will be joining an established construction business from their Stevenage office, working across multiple projects throughout the South East.  Ideally, your background will be within industrial or commercial construction. That is not essential if you have strong transferable experience from another construction sector and can demonstrate that you understand the commercial management of projects.  You will need to live within roughly 20 miles of Stevenage and be well positioned to travel to projects across the South East.  The salary is £50,000 to £55,000 per annum, plus car allowance, healthcare and pension.   Your experience   You will need a Quantity Surveying related degree and ideally around 10 years of industry experience.  You should have a good understanding of JCT contracts and subcontracts and be comfortable taking commercial responsibility for your own projects.
