Quantity SurveyorExeterMain ContractorA well-established and highly regarded main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team in Devon. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of their own projects and play a key role in the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of construction schemes. Working closely with project and operational teams, you will manage the commercial and contractual aspects of projects from pre-construction through to completion and final account. The business delivers projects across a range of sectors, including education, healthcare, industrial, commercial and leisure, with project values typically reaching 20 million. The RoleAs Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of allocated projects, ensuring effective financial control, strong commercial performance and compliance with contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Manage the commercial and financial performance of construction projects.Prepare and monitor cost reports, forecasts and Cost Value Reconciliations.Manage project budgets, expenditure and cash flow.Lead subcontractor procurement, tender evaluations, negotiations and appointments.Manage subcontractor accounts, including valuations, payments, variations and final accounts.Prepare and submit applications for payment, ensuring effective cash recovery.Identify, assess ..... full job details .....
