Platinum Search Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a well-established contractor based in Aylesbury, who are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to support their expanding commercial team on a permanent full time basis. We are seeking an experienced Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join our clients established building maintenance company. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and managing the commercial aspects of building maintenance and construction projects ranging from £1,000 to £2,000,000 in value. Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities: Prepare detailed cost estimates for building maintenance and construction projects from initial enquiry through to tender submission Conduct site visits and surveys to assess scope of works and identify any challenges or risks Produce accurate material take-offs and labour calculations from drawings, specifications, and site assessments Prepare comprehensive pricing schedules, bills of quantities, and tender documentation Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations and ensure value for money Review contract documents, specifications, and drawings to identify scope, risks, and opportunities Manage the commercial aspects of projects including valuations, variations, final accounts, and cash flow forecasting Prepare monthly applications for payment and manage project budgets to ensure profitability Assess and price contract variations and additional ..... full job details .....
