Quantity Surveyor

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join one of the UK''s leading RC Frame/Groundworks contractors.
Established for almost 30 years, our client has built an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality Groundworks, RC Frame, Civil Engineering and Infrastructure packages across London, the Home Counties and the South East.-

The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the commercial management of RC Frame/Groundworks projects from inception through to final account.
Key duties will include:

• Preparation and submission of interim valuations
• Cost reporting, forecasting and budget control
• Procurement and management of subcontractors and suppliers
• Valuation and agreement of variations
• Contract administration
• Management of project cash flow
• Preparation and negotiation of final accounts
• Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
• Working closely with operational teams to maximise project performance

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years'' Quantity Surveying experience
• Ideally experienced in Groundworks and/or RC Frame projects
• Strong commercial awareness and contractual knowledge
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (preferred)
