Quantity Surveyor

Our client is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support major wastewater and civil engineering projects across the North East and West Yorkshire. This contract opportunity offers a hybrid working arrangement, with regular site presence and access to an office in Sheffield. The role will focus on commercial management and cost control across AMP8 water infrastructure projects and is outside IR35.

• Prepare and manage project valuations.
• Monitor project costs, forecasts and commercial risks.
• Manage subcontractor accounts, payments and final accounts.
• Support contract administration and change control.
• Produce financial reports and detailed commercial analysis.
• Work closely with operational teams to maximise project performance.
• Provide commercial support across major wastewater and civil engineering projects.

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within utilities, wastewater or civil engineering.
• Understanding of commercial management and cost control on major infrastructure projects.
• Experience of NEC contracts is desirable.
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical capability.
• Knowledge of valuations, forecasting, subcontractor management and change control.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and report-writing skills.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline.
• Willingness to work across Yorkshire and the North East, with regular site attendance.
