Quantity Surveyor - London
A respected, multi-disciplinary construction consultancy is currently seeking a confident Quantity Surveyor to join their central London team. Known for their hands-on, director-led approach, this well-established practice delivers high-quality cost consultancy services across sectors including residential, commercial, heritage, and education.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in their career, working on a varied portfolio of London-based projects from initial feasibility through to final account. Quantity Surveyor - The Role
The appointed Quantity Surveyor will support the delivery of high-quality cost management services across new build and refurbishment schemes. You''ll be involved in all pre- and post-contract duties, liaising directly with clients and contractors, and reporting to a senior surveyor or associate.
This role would suit a motivated Quantity Surveyor with consultancy experience who enjoys working across different sectors and values a collaborative, quality-driven working environment.
Quantity Surveyor - Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost plans, budgets, and detailed estimates
- Draft and manage tender documentation and procurement processes
- Conduct valuations, assess variations, and manage cost reporting
- Provide contract administration support (JCT / NEC)
- Attend client and design team meetings
- Contribute to risk and value management processes
- Support junior team members and APC candidates where appropriate
Quantity Surveyor - Candidate Requirements
- 3+ years'' experience in a consultancy environment
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar (RICS accredited)
- Working knowledge of pre- and post-contract duties
- Experience across residential and commercial projects (London focus advantageous)
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Working towards or recently achieved MRICS preferred
