Quantity Surveyor

Kingston Barnes is recruiting on behalf of a leading regional main contractor that delivers a wide range of high-quality building projects across the South West and surrounding areas. With a strong pipeline of secured work, they are now seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join the team. The Company: Our client is a privately-owned regional contractor with a fantastic reputation for delivering high-quality projects. They undertake diverse and interesting projects ranging from traditional refurbishment projects to complex new build design and build, and everything in between, ranging in value from £1m-£30m. The Opportunity: As Quantity Surveyor, you will take full commercial responsibility for managing projects from pre-construction through to final account. Your duties will include: Supporting all commercial aspects of the construction process Selecting and placing orders with sub-contractors for necessary packages of work, liaising with other site team members, and buyer as necessary Ensuring that the terms agreed with the sub-contractors are robust and that risk and cost effective solutions for the project are provided Attending regular review and control meetings with the management team, to include financial reports (including the monthly project reviews) in line with company reporting timetable Promoting company vision, values and a culture of continuous improvement Communicating with colleagues, customers, consultants and sub-contractors in a warm and persuasive manner, ..... full job details .....
