Quantity Surveyor - Highways

Quantity Surveyor required to join a busy and driven Highways team in Snodland, Kent. 

The role will involve supporting projects across the South East region, with the QS playing a key role in the commercial team, working closely with the Managing Quantity Surveyor and building strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and client representatives.

Key Responsibilities
You''ll ideally bring experience from similar sectors such as Highways, Road Infrastructure, Paving, Surfacing, or Civil Engineering.

A selection of day to day duties (not limited to):
Managing subcontracts: issuing tender enquiries, awarding contracts, and assessing monthly payment applications
Supporting the preparation of monthly CVRs and forecasts (internal and client-facing)
Assisting with final account agreements and substantiations
Ensuring compliance with Tarmac and client processes to mitigate commercial risk
Accurately valuing completed work and ensuring timely cash collection
Preparing and submitting monthly applications for payment
Issuing early warning notices and managing compensation events

What We''re Looking For
Previous experience in surfacing or highways infrastructure projects
Strong drive and ambition to succeed
NEC3/4 contract experience (highly desirable)
Solid subcontract administration skills
Excellent communication, problem solving, and interpersonal abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Commercial awareness and process driven mindset

Qualifications
Degree level qualification preferred
HND or Qualified by Experience (QBE) also considered

Additional Requirements
Company vehicle provided
Full UK manual driving licence (max 6 penalty points)
Occasional UK travel to support wider team needs
