We are recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to join the Pre-Construction team of an established developer-contractorBased in Chester with genuine hybrid working, you will help shape major developments before they reach site, influencing cost, design, procurement, buildability and commercial viability.It is still very much a Quantity Surveyor role, but with one important difference: you will be involved at the point where your commercial expertise can have the greatest impact.Rather than inheriting a project once construction begins, you will work alongside development, design, technical and construction colleagues to ensure each scheme is commercially robust and positioned for successful delivery.What will you be doing?As part of the Pre-Construction team, you will support projects from their early development stages through to construction commencementYour role will include:Preparing and developing cost plans as designs evolveAssessing project costs, viability, risks and commercial opportunitiesChallenging design decisions and identifying more efficient solutionsWorking with development, design, technical and construction teams to improve buildabilityUsing market ..... full job details .....
