Quantity Surveyor

Your new company A leading infrastructure contractor is delivering a major HVDC package of works in the North East of Scotland. The team is responsible for the full onshore scope, including a significant Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) package, alongside approximately 16km of ducting and cable installation works. Due to project requirements, they are now seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support commercial delivery on this long-term programme. Your new role As Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of a substantial section of the project, operating under an NEC Option A contract. Working closely with delivery and commercial teams, you will ensure robust cost control, subcontractor management, compensation event administration and accurate project reporting throughout the lifecycle of the works. The position is site-based near Peterhead, with an expectation of attending site five days per week initially, moving to a more flexible arrangement once established within the project team.
