An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and growing building services contractor delivering high-quality projects across the South West. Working within a supportive commercial team, you''ll play a key role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of projects from tender stage through to final account.

This position would suit a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor looking to develop their career within a successful and forward-thinking business offering long-term progression and exposure to a diverse range of mechanical, electrical, construction and maintenance projects.-

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will provide day-to-day commercial support across multiple projects, ensuring commercial compliance, cost control, accurate reporting, and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting project teams to ensure commercial and contractual compliance.
• Reviewing contract conditions and assisting with negotiations with clients and subcontractors.
• Producing and submitting monthly applications for payment.
• Preparing and analysing project costings and tender information.
• Managing variations, dayworks and additional project costs.
• Preparing interim valuations and payment applications.
• Assisting with monthly project cost reporting and forecasting.
• Liaising with clients, Contract Managers, Site Managers, Architects and Engineers.
• Attending site, commercial and project review meetings.
• Monitoring project performance and identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
• Supporting the negotiation and agreement of final accounts.
• Advising on contractual and commercial matters.
• Ensuring compliance with company procedures and health & safety requirements.

About You

We''re looking for a motivated and detail-focused Quantity Surveyor who can build strong relationships with both clients and internal stakeholders.

Essential Requirements

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying (RICS accredited preferred).
• Strong commercial awareness and numerical ability.
• Experience preparing valuations, applications for payment and final accounts.
• Good understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes.
• Strong Excel and IT skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within project and commercial teams.
• Full UK driving licence.
