Quantity Surveyor – Main Contractor

Are you a commercially sharp Quantity Surveyor looking to take ownership of varied, high-quality construction projects with a respected main contractor?

We are working with an established construction main contractor delivering projects across the education, healthcare, commercial and industrial sectors, with schemes ranging up to £30m in value. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse mix of new build, refurbishment and fit-out projects, supporting delivery from procurement through to final account. You will be joining a business that values strong commercial control, collaborative project delivery and long-term relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.

As Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the financial and contractual performance of projects, working closely with operational teams to ensure schemes are delivered on budget, on programme and to the required standard.

• Manage subcontract procurement, valuations, variations and payments.

• Prepare cost reports, forecasts and commercial updates.

• Support contract administration and ensure commercial compliance.

• Work with project teams to identify risk, protect margin and maximise value.

• Lead or support final account negotiations through to agreement.

• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams.

The ideal candidate will have previous Quantity Surveying experience within a main contractor or construction environment, a good understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes, and the confidence to manage projects with professionalism and accuracy.
