Quantity Surveyor Heavy Civil Engineering Location: Gateshead Employment Type: Permanent Salary: Competitive salary + benefits Sector: Civil Engineering Fulcrum Recruitment is working with a well-established and growing civil engineering contractor that is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team based in Gateshead. This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with around 2 3 years post-degree experience who is looking to develop within civil engineering, marine infrastructure and heavy civils. The company delivers a varied range of technically interesting projects across the UK, including quay works, jetties, harbours, sea walls, reinforced concrete structures, piling, coastal works, flood defence and wider infrastructure schemes. The role will be primarily office-based in Gateshead, with occasional site visits as required. The Role As Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial management of live civil engineering projects, working closely with the Commercial Manager, Project Managers, site teams, supply chain and clients. You will be involved in subcontract procurement, contract administration, valuations, change control, cost reporting, compensation events, commercial records and final accounts. The role will also include supporting tendering, estimating and supply chain engagement for future projects.
