Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor A UK leading 5 housebuilder have a requirement for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The company specialise in housing developments across the Yorkshire region. Quantity Surveyor role The principle purpose of the role is to provide effective commercial management and control of projects, and to administer these in line with the applicable contract terms/statutory legislation. The role will cover all aspects within the commercial function and will be deadline driven, and will require excellent prioritisation and organisational skills. You will need to be a confident communicator, proficient with Microsoft packages. Reporting to the Commercial Lead you will be working across 3-4 developments at any one time, key duties include: Commercial management of projects to ensure they are completed within budgetCreate systems and processes, allowing effective measurement of commercial performanceProvide accurate, real time commercial reports (CVR) and final forecastsTake off and create bills of quantities, and produce tender documentation for subcontract, materials, and plant enquiriesCarry out tender analysis, procurement, account management and payment of subcontractorsCarry out tender analysis, procurement and account management of materials and plantAttend and provide cost input at design team meetings and agree strategies to deliver the projectValue engineer projects and suggest delivery solutions to ensure cost effective project deliveryProvide financial ..... full job details .....
