The business unit undertakes projects within the public sector, with lots of defence, MOJ and blue light projects across the South of Engalnd. Projects vary in value from smaller works (-50k - -2mil) up to -30mil. Projects are a mix of JCT and NEC forms of contract, and are often directly awarded. As a result of a busy upcoming pipeline of work, they''re now looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join the team. About the role of Quantity Surveyor: As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing projects from pre-construction through to final account, reporting into the Commercial Manager. Key Responsibilities as Quantity Surveyor: Be involved in 2-stage tenders Sub-contract procurement Manage sub-contractors accounts on site, dealing with variations Deal with final accounts Key requirements for this Quantity Surveyor role: Construction related HNC / Degree Experience working within a main contractor Experience administering JCT forms of contract Must live within a commutable distance to Basingst...
