Quantity Surveyor - Exeter (Civils)

A reputable civil engineering contractor are seeking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join its team 

They specialise across the civils arena but with a focus on projects that fall within water, waste water treatment and general utility infrastructure works - typically projects up to £3M in value

The Position 

This role will be commercially involved in a portfolio of planned maintenance projects across the Devon area, whilst managing a Trainee QS and AQS 

Reporting into the Commercial Manager, key responsibilities will include:  

• Review new / varied items and check quotations of new rates and conditions
• Maintain the timely submission of applications and final accounts 
• Assist with reviewing and commenting on tender documentation during tender period
• Internal reporting and forecasting
• Assist with subcontract management from negotiation and preparation of sub-contract orders
• Prepare and negotiate claims in conjunction with the senior management team.
• Vetting of final accounts and preparing final account reports

The Individual

If you are a QS or perhaps even an Assistant Quantity Surveyor who is looking to join a great team and help grow the region, this will be for you

Ideally, you will have: 

• Civil Engineering Qualification (Degree or Equivalent) 
• Experience in delivering similar sized contracts
• Experience in the water industry is preferred but not essential 
• NEC4 experience
