Quantity Surveyor/ Estimator Structural Steel

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for structural steel projects.
• Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents to determine scope and pricing.
• Liaise with engineers, architects, and clients to clarify project requirements.
• Source subcontractor and supplier quotations and evaluate pricing competitiveness.
• Prepare bills of quantities and cost plans.
• Monitor project costs and variations during construction phase.
• Assist in contract administration and final account preparation.
• Support project teams with commercial advice and cost control strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of all estimating data and project cost history.

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or related discipline.
• Experience in structural steel fabrication or construction sector preferred.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
