PSR Solutions are proud to be partnering with a leading civil engineering contractor to recruit an experienced and commercially driven Quantity Surveyor for a major -30m bridge project.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a key commercial role on a technically complex infrastructure scheme. The business has a strong reputation for delivering major civil engineering projects and offers long-term career progression within a stable and well-structured commercial team.

A -30m bridge development comprising extensive piling operations, fibre reinforced concrete (FRC) works, and associated infrastructure. The project is currently underway, providing the successful candidate with the opportunity to take ownership of significant work packages through to final account.

As Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for managing key commercial packages on the project, reporting directly to the Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager.

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring robust financial control, accurate forecasting, and effective subcontract management.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Full commercial management of allocated packages

• Leading subcontract procurement from tender through to award

• Preparing and administering subcontract documentation

• Managing subcontractor valuations, variations, and payments

• Producing and owning monthly CVRs (Cost Value Reconciliations)

• Leading cost forecasting and financial reporting

• Managing change control and compensation events (NEC advantageous)

• Identifying, managing, and mitigating commercial risk

• Contributing to and supporting final account negotiations

• Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor for a Tier 1 or large Tier 2 main contractor

• Strong background in civil engineering or infrastructure projects (bridges, piling, RC works desirable)

• Demonstrable experience managing packages independently

• Strong knowledge of cost forecasting and commercial reporting

• NEC contract experience advantageous but not essential

• Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills

• Stable career history with solid time spent within previous employers
