NPP are recruiting for a quantity surveyor to join a reputable, fast growing, privately owned construction business.-
Operating within a growing construction company that still retains the personal touch,-you will be focussed on working on projects within the commercial, education and healthcare sectors on projects that can be valued -between 100k to 1 million.
Key duties will consist of-
- Cost Estimation and Budgeting:
Working on small works projects being responsible for accurately estimating the costs of materials, labour, and other resources needed for the project.-You will prepare detailed cost plans and budgets to guide the project''s financial management.-
- Procurement and Tendering:
Advising on the most cost-effective sourcing of materials and services, managing the tendering process, and ensure fair contracts are in place.-
- Contract Management:
Ensuring all contracts are legally sound, fair, and protect the interests of all parties involved.-This includes managing variations and ensuring compliance with regulations.-
- Cost Control:
Closely monitoring project spending, identifying potential cost savings, and making adjustments to stay within the agreed budgets.-This involves tracking expenses, managing payments, and preparing financial reports.-
- Dispute Resolution:
Handling any cost disputes, Playing a crucial role in helping to resolve issues, often mediating between contractors, clients, and other stakeholders.-
- Collaboration and Communication:
Communicating effectively with all parties involved in the project, including clients, contractors, architects, and engineers, ensuring everyone is informed about cost implications and potential risks.-
- Keeping Up-to-Date:
Keeping informed about changes in construction methods, building regulations, and health and safety protocols to ensure projects comply with the latest standards.-
The successful applicant must have a relevant Qualification or degree encompassing Quantity Surveying and practical experience of working on commercial, education and healthcare projects.
