Our client, a leading £350m turnover Main Contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering landmark schemes, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development of a new division that will focus on large-scale residential projects across the UK.

About the Role:
As Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial lead on major developments, including a flagship 31-storey Student Accommodation project, alongside a diverse pipeline of residential schemes. Reporting to a Commercial Manager, you’ll be responsible for the full range of pre- and post-contract duties, supporting project delivery from procurement through to final account.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing project budgets, forecasts and cash flow

• Preparing tender documentation and evaluating subcontractor packages

• Leading valuations and variations

• Managing subcontractor relationships and payments

• Supporting project reporting and financial control

• Driving value engineering and cost-saving initiatives

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contracting environment

• Strong knowledge of residential construction (student accommodation experience is a plus)

• Ability to manage complex, high-value packages independently

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• A proactive mindset and desire to be part of an ambitious growth strategy
