Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor required in Chelmsford -

GVR Solutions are currently representing an established contractor, based in Essex, who are in the market for a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. Due to positive and continuous project delivery success they are seeking an additional Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

As a business they undertake specialist remediation contracts for concrete repairs and replacement schemes. They are looking for a commercially confident Surveyor to lead cost control and margin protection. Working with leading public and private sector clients across the whole of the UK.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor:

• Cost planning and commercial strategy
• Recovering and protecting margin
• Managing JCT contracts and change control
• Leading valuations and final accounts
• Supporting tenders and frameworks

The Quantity Surveyor must have/be:

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or construction related courses-
• Ideally 7+ years Quantity Surveying experience
• Strong JCT Contracts experience -
• Proven track record of delivering construction projects-
• Excellent communication and oral skills-
• Stable employment history-
• High-performing individual-
• Versatile-
• Excellent time keeping skills-
