Freelance Quantity Surveyor – High Rise Scheme

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a major high-rise residential scheme in Leeds. This is a short-term contract opportunity, expected to run for approximately 2–3 months, with an immediate start available.

The Role

• Working closely with the project team on a live high-rise development

• Managing cost control, valuations, variations, and final accounts

• Preparing and assessing subcontractor payments

• Supporting commercial reporting and forecasting

• Ensuring all work is carried out in line with contract requirements

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on large-scale construction projects (high-rise or major residential preferred)

• Strong knowledge of JCT contracts

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced project environment

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Available for a freelance / contract engagement in Leeds

Contract Details

• Location: Leeds (site-based)

• Duration: 2–3 months (freelance contract)

• Competitive day rate, dependent on experience
