The Role
You''ll be responsible for all commercial and contractual aspects of the project, from inception to completion. Your duties will include:
Cost Control & Management: Accurately forecasting, monitoring, and controlling project costs to ensure profitability.
Procurement: Sourcing and managing subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring best value and compliance.
Contract Administration: Handling all contractual matters, including claims, variations, and payments.
Risk & Value Management: Identifying potential commercial risks and opportunities, and implementing strategies to mitigate or capitalize on them.
Reporting: Preparing and presenting detailed financial reports to senior management and clients.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
A degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with significant exposure to highways or large-scale civil engineering projects.
A strong understanding of civil engineering contracts
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
