Job Title: Quantity Surveyor – £5m New Build Warehouse
Location: Hertfordshire (with future projects in London)
Salary: Up to £60,000 + Car Allowance

Are you a driven Quantity Surveyor looking to take the lead on a flagship project An award-winning Main Contractor, recognised for championing and developing its staff, is seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team.

The Role

You will take commercial lead on a £5m New Build Warehouse project in Hertfordshire, overseeing all financial and contractual aspects from start to completion. The project will run for approximately one year, after which you’ll progress onto further schemes – most likely within London’s commercial and residential sectors.

Responsibilities

• Take full commercial responsibility for the £5m New Build Warehouse project

• Manage cost control, valuations, variations, and final accounts

• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure best value

• Provide accurate financial reporting to senior management

• Support project delivery teams with contractual and commercial advice

About You

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a Main Contractor

• Strong background in new build commercial or residential schemes

• Confident managing projects up to £5m in value

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Ambition to grow and progress within a supportive contractor
