Quantity Surveyor - New Build-

• Project based in Hackney -40m residential scheme
• Office based in East London
• Salary up to -65,000 + Package

Role-

We are currently working with a-well-established main contractor in the appointment of a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a -40m residential scheme in Hackney.

The project is a new-build social housing development delivering 72 social rent units within a 5-storey mid-rise apartment block, procured under a JCT Design & Build contract. The scheme forms part of the wider Nightingale Estate regeneration and is currently moving through the delivery phase.

This is a great opportunity to join a stable contractor with a strong pipeline of residential work across London and to play a key role in delivering an important regeneration project.

Role & Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial delivery of subcontractor packages
• Procurement and appointment of subcontractors
• Preparation and agreement of interim valuations
• Cost reporting, forecasting and budget management
• Managing variations and change control
• Subcontractor management and payments
• Supporting the agreement of final accounts
• Working closely with the site and project teams throughout delivery

Requirements

• Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor
• Background delivering new-build residential projects
• Good understanding of JCT Design & Build contracts
• Strong commercial and communication skills
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar (preferred)
