Our client are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support commercial operations on a major infrastructure project in Cardiff. This role involves managing contract administration, risk management, and cost control, ensuring profitability and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with subcontractors and advise on contractual issues.
- Support project leaders with cost reporting and risk management.
- Prepare financial statements, variations, and monthly progress reports.
- Ensure commercial compliance with NEC contracts (NEC3/NEC4 Option C).
- Contribute to procurement, subcontract management, and final account settlements.
- Lead on cost planning and measurement of quantities.
- Maintain strong documentation and adherence to company procedures.
Requirements:
- BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
- 4+ years of post-graduate experience (or 8+ years in a similar role).
- NEC contract experience essential.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Desirable:
- Experience in civils/building projects, knowledge of ISO standards
