Job Title: Quantity Surveyor – Demolition / Structural / Building
Location: Mitcham, London
Salary: £60,000 – £80,000 (depending on experience)

We are a specialist contractor based in Mitcham, delivering demolition, structural alteration, and complex building projects across London and the South East. With a strong reputation for quality, safety, and reliability, we are seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join our team and play a key role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of our projects.

The Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing costs and contracts from project inception to completion. You will work closely with our estimating, project management, and site teams to ensure projects are delivered on budget, while maintaining profitability and value for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all costs relating to demolition, structural, and building works.

• Prepare, manage, and monitor project budgets and forecasts.

• Draft, review, and manage contracts, subcontracts, and procurement.

• Value completed works and prepare interim and final accounts.

• Assess, price, and negotiate variations and claims.

• Provide commercial advice and risk management to directors and project teams.

• Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within demolition, structural, or building sectors.

• Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial management.

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and QS/estimating software.

• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.

• A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field (preferred).
