They are now seeking an experienced-Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager-to join their team, taking ownership of projects and contributing to the continued growth of the business.
About the Role
The successful candidate will work across multiple projects, managing cost and contract responsibilities from inception to completion. Responsibilities include:

Taking ownership of project budgets, cost control, monitoring, and forecasting.

Producing accurate estimates, cost plans, and value engineering recommendations.

Leading tendering processes, preparing and evaluating documentation, and making client recommendations.

Administering contracts, including managing variations, claims, and dispute resolution.

Producing detailed cost reports, financial forecasts, and progress updates.

Identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and client satisfaction.

Leading change management processes, ensuring accurate documentation and cost adjustments.

Proactively assessing risks and developing mitigation strategies.

Supporting business development, client engagement, and networking activities.

Mentoring junior staff and contributing to the professional development of colleagues.
About the Requirements
-
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Cost Manager in a consultancy environment.

Strong knowledge of JCT, NEC, and FIDIC contracts.
-
Proficient in tools such as JCT Online, NBS Online, BCIS Online, and CostX.

Strong understanding of construction economics, digitalisation, and market trends.

Experience in carbon cost planning (advantageous).

Commercially aware with excellent communication and client-facing skills.

Ability to lead project teams, mentor colleagues, and demonstrate leadership qualities.
