We''re looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join a growing team in the Eastern Region, initially supporting schemes for the Environment Agency. This is a permanent role, based out of the office in Cambridge with regional travel required.
Key Responsibilities
·Deliver commercial support across projects, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.
·Prepare plans, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and project documentation.
·Carry out on-site measurement and measurement from drawings.
·Conduct cost analysis, prepare estimates, and review subcontractor quotations.
·Manage variations, valuations, final accounts, and subcontractor payments.
·Identify and manage risks, while supporting dispute resolution.
·Undertake feasibility studies and provide clear commercial advice.
Skills & Experience
·Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on heavy civil engineering projects.
·Strong knowledge and practical use of NEC contracts.
·Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
·Confident with numbers, IT, and commercial reporting.
·Flexible and ambitious, with the ability to problem-solve.
·Full UK driving licence required, as this is a regional role.
