Our client, a leading company in the Power Utilities and Energy sector, is currently seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with expertise in Quantity Surveying, QS, and NEC contracts, looking to make a significant impact in the field of Power Distribution.

The company provide a full turnkey service to the Electrical, ICP industry, delivering design and build works for BESS, Solar, Gas Peaking Plants, Onshore Wind and EV infrastructure.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and administrating NEC contracts (3 and 4) with values ranging from -10k to -2m
  • Reporting to finance and contributing to financial oversight
  • Mentoring and providing peer reviews for Graduate QS/Trainee Quantity Surveyors
  • Conducting site measures and site visits as required
  • Ensuring accurate and timely cost reporting and forecasting
  • Collaborating closely with project managers to ensure effective project delivery
  • Maintaining robust commercial control of projects
  • Engaging with stakeholders to fulfil project objectives


Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
  • Experience in administering NEC 3/4 contracts
  • Understanding of Utilities and Civil Engineering sectors
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in cost management and report writing
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work remotely with occasional office visits

  • Paying up to -65,000 per annum
  • 25 days plus Bank Holidays
