An established civil engineering contractor is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team.

The company delivers projects across the civil engineering, utilities and infrastructure sectors and has secured a strong pipeline of work across Scotland. This role would suit an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to develop their career within a supportive commercial environment.

The Role:

• Assist with the commercial management of civil engineering projects.

• Manage project costs, budgets and forecasts.

• Prepare monthly valuations and payment applications.

• Procure and manage subcontractors and suppliers.

• Monitor project variations and change.

• Assist with contractual and commercial negotiations.

• Prepare and maintain accurate commercial reports.

• Manage subcontractor accounts and payments.

• Assist with the preparation and agreement of final accounts.

• Work closely with site and project management teams.

• Identify potential commercial risks and opportunities.

• Maintain accurate project records and commercial documentation.

The Candidate:

• Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within construction or civil engineering.

• Experience within utilities, infrastructure or civils would be advantageous.

• Good understanding of commercial and contractual processes.

• NEC experience preferred.

• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

• Good commercial awareness and attention to detail.

• Relevant Quantity Surveying qualification or working towards one.

• Ambitious and keen to develop within a growing business.
