Quantity Surveyor - Civils and Infrastructure

QUANTITY SURVEYOR Location: Horsham, West Sussex Salary: Competitive, depending on experience Job Type: Permanent We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join an established contractor based in Horsham, West Sussex. The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and industrial projects, with experience managing the commercial aspects of projects from tender and procurement through to final account. Key Responsibilities Manage the commercial aspects of civils and industrial projects from start to finish. Prepare and monitor project budgets, forecasts and cost reports. Manage valuations, applications for payment and final accounts. Identify, price and manage variations and additional works. Prepare and manage subcontractor packages, orders and payments. Review subcontractor accounts and agree final accounts. Monitor project costs and commercial performance. Assist with tendering, estimating and procurement. Review contracts, scopes of work and commercial obligations. Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle. Attend client and project meetings. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers. Work closely with Project Managers, Site Teams and Directors. Carry out regular site visits to monitor progress and commercial performance. Prepare regular commercial reports for senior management.
