Quantity Surveyor - Civils and Groundworks

Quantity Surveyor Civils and Groundworks Salary: £60,000 £75,000 DOE Job Type: Permanent Start: ASAP An established civil engineering and groundworks contractor is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in civils, groundworks or enabling works, with the ability to manage projects commercially from procurement through to final account. Key Responsibilities Manage the commercial aspects of civils and groundworks projects. Prepare and submit valuations, variations and payment applications. Manage subcontractor accounts, payments and applications. Monitor project costs, budgets and forecasts. Procure subcontractors and materials. Review and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations. Identify and manage variations and additional works. Prepare and agree final accounts. Monitor project performance against budget. Produce accurate commercial reports and cost forecasts. Liaise with project managers, site teams, clients and subcontractors. Ensure contractual and commercial obligations are maintained. Support the wider commercial team with tendering and pricing where required. Requirements Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civils and/or groundworks. Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes. Experience managing valuations, variations, subcontractors and final accounts.
