Quantity Surveyor

About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing, award-winning main contractor delivering high-quality construction, refurbishment and design & build projects across London and the Home Counties.

Working across a diverse portfolio including residential, education, healthcare, commercial, leisure and heritage projects, you will play a key role in managing project finances, maximising profitability and supporting successful project delivery from inception through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

• Full commercial management of construction projects.
• Preparation and management of budgets, forecasts and cost plans.
• Procurement and management of subcontractor packages.
• Valuations, variations and change management.
• Preparation and negotiation of final accounts.
• Cash flow forecasting and reporting.
• Risk identification and commercial mitigation.
• Supporting project teams to achieve programme, quality and financial objectives.
• Producing accurate management reports for senior leadership.
• Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
• Experience working for a main contractor.
• Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and commercial practices.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline preferred.
• Membership of RICS or working towards chartership would be advantageous.
