Quantity Surveyor

About the Role We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to join an established construction and property business specialising in high-end residential projects across the countryside and Home Counties. The business delivers a diverse portfolio of bespoke country homes, rural estates, historic properties, new-builds and high-quality refurbishments, often involving complex construction and exceptional standards of finish. This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor looking to work on distinctive, high-value projects where quality, attention to detail and commercial management are equally important. Key Responsibilities Manage the commercial aspects of projects from pre-construction through to completion. Prepare and maintain cost plans, budgets, forecasts and cash-flow projections. Lead procurement and tendering of subcontractor and supplier packages. Obtain, analyse and negotiate quotations and subcontract agreements. Prepare and manage valuations, applications for payment and monthly cost reports. Monitor and manage variations, changes and commercial risks. Manage subcontractor accounts, payments and final accounts. Identify commercial opportunities and ensure projects remain within agreed budgets. Work closely with project managers, construction teams, architects, consultants and clients. Assist with estimating, tendering and pre-construction activities.
