Quantity Surveyor

A highly regarded construction business is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team, working on a portfolio of high-end residential construction and refurbishment projects.

The Role
You will take responsibility for the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to completion, working closely with clients, consultants, project teams and subcontractors.
Key responsibilities include:

• Managing project budgets, costs and financial reporting.
• Procurement and management of subcontractor packages.
• Preparing valuations, variations and payment applications.
• Managing commercial risk and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Preparing forecasts and monitoring project performance.
• Managing subcontractor accounts through to final account.
• Supporting tenders and pre-construction activities.
• Building strong relationships with clients and the supply chain.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment.
• Experience across high-end residential, refurbishment or complex construction projects.
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
• Experience managing subcontractor packages and final accounts.
• Excellent numerical, analytical and communication skills.
• A proactive, organised and commercially focused approach.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.

Experience within the super-prime residential sector would be highly advantageous.
